I am thrilled to announce that my portrait of New York Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, was selected to be a part of the Visual Arts Alliance 37th Annual Juried Exhibition which opens virtually on August 25th and runs through September 26, 2021.

The juror, Dr. Harry Cooper (Senior Curator of the National Gallery of Art), chose 104 artworks (out of nearly 800 submissions) to be included in the exhibition. In his juror’s statement he said:

"Looking over the choices I made for prizes and honorable mentions, I see that I was attracted to works that seemed to have a clear, strong conception, and which therefore left me with a memorable image.”

There will be a virtual opening reception broadcast on Facebook Live from the National Gallery of Art on Wednesday, August 25 at 6:00PM with awards being announced at 7:00pm. Hope to see you there!
