My portrait of tenacious US Representative, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (better known as AOC), has been selected to be a part of Archway Gallery’s upcoming Thirteenth Annual Juried Exhibition opening this Saturday, July 10!

The exhibit will feature the works of 40 guest artists plus thirty artist-members in the Front Gallery of the 4,000 square foot space.

This year’s juror is Wayne Gilbert, a self-described “ordinary artist in an extraordinary city full of great artists and art.” His remarks and awards will be announced on Saturday.

50% of sales from the exhibition will go to Archway’s charity partner, The Houston Junior Form which provides charitable services for children, youth, women and seniors in the greater Houston area.

There is an all-day opening reception on Saturday, July 10 from 10a.m. - 6p.m. The exhibit runs through August 4.

Archway Gallery is located at 2305 Dunlavy in Houston, Texas, and is open Tuesday - Saturday 10a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday 1p.m. - 5p.m. Masks and social distancing are required.
